Springstone and Metal Holy Nativity Scene

This beautiful rendition of the holy birth is handcrafted by Zimbabwean artist Luke Jimu who carves and polishes springstone. Jesus, Mary and Joseph are affixed within a recycled metal stable with star and tree accents.

Zimbabwean artist Luke Jimu works with springstone, which is a prized dark stone that polishes to a high shine because of its density. Most springstone is sustainably sourced and is mined on communal lands for the purpose of sculpting.
