Diane Fraser, Artist & Maker

Fraser was trained in the traditional oil painting techniques of under painting and glazing, the method of building up the final colors through multiple transparent layers of paint. In this way, through careful observation, she is able to successfully capture the color and texture of surfaces, whether they be metal or wood. Her treatment of the play of light on objects and its effect on color and texture adds to the realism that she achieves.
